This week is Mast Kalandar Week on Paths of a Foodie. No, they are not paying me for coverage. I looked through my photos and realized I had eaten twice at Mast Kalandar in the last month, for team lunches. Considering this week is Sankranthi, it’s only fair that I spotlight one of the biggest vegetarian chains in India.
Mast Kalandar’s food has undergone very little change over the years. The Masala Aloo Combo (Rs 109) my teammate had tastes just the same as the one I had over two years ago. Only the dal seems to have changed: it’s darker now. I wish they would give masala sprouts instead of plain boiled ones as a side; it would add some spice to the meal.
